Before our sessions begin you will be asked to sign the following Working Agreement;

WORKING AGREEMENT

Thank you for selecting me as your therapist. I offer short-term and long-term therapy that meets clients' needs in a confidential, supportive, non-judgmental, and collaborative space.

Confidentiality

Everything that you discuss with me is confidential. Confidentiality will only be broken if there is concern about your safety or the safety of someone else or we are instructed to do so by a Court of Law. I will always endeavour to speak to you about this first.

I will ensure that sessions are conducted in a confidential setting, and I have chosen video calling software, Zoom, that offers end to end encryption to further protect your privacy. Please note that I cannot be held responsible for any breaches caused by failures in this technology.

I discuss our clinical work with a supervisor. This is to ensure that I am offering you the best service possible. These conversations are bound by confidentiality & you will only be referred to by your first name.

Any notes that I take are anonymised & are stored securely in a password protected system. These notes are for my use only and help me to keep a track of facts discussed in our sessions. In line with industry standards, these notes must be kept securely for up to 7 years after your therapy comes to an end, after which they will be confidentially destroyed.

All confidential information is held in accordance with the GDPR, 2018 using a secure and encrypted system.

Appointments

All appointments last for 50 minutes and we will usually meet on a weekly basis.

Please ensure that you choose a quiet & private location to conduct your online or telephone sessions & that you log in on time to make full use of the appointment. Please note that sessions cannot be extended beyond the agreed time.

Should we experience any technical difficulties, I will endeavour to switch to an alternative session format (e.g. another video calling platform, telephone or alternative phone line) so the session can continue with minimal disruption.

Outside of your agreed therapy sessions, it is not usual for us to have contact. If you think that you may need extra support, please discuss this with me.

Fees (as discussed)

Therapy Sessions:           £75 per session

Students:                          £55 per session

Concessions:                    £45 (limited spaces available)

Payment

An invoice will be sent by email prior to the session, to be paid at latest 24 hours before session. In the event payment is not received the session will be cancelled.

Making changes to your appointments

All clients are expected to keep their appointment times or give notice of cancellation of more than 24 hours before the appointment is due to avoid the full fee being charged for the appointment time. Requests to transfer to an alternative session slot must also be received more than 24 hours before the original session time, otherwise this will be deemed a cancellation.

Raising Concerns

If you experience any issues with the service you receive, please don’t hesitate to let me know—your satisfaction is very important to me. If we’re unable to resolve the matter together, you may also raise your concerns with the National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society via their complaints process: https://ncps.com/complaints.

I look forward to working with you.

Please fill in and sign this working agreement.
